Schrodt Etched
Hummingbird Feeder Review

I chose to do a Schrodt Etched Hummingbird Feeder Review, a member of the "Decorative" Hummingbird Feeder Category because it is one of my favorite decorative feeders.
I have used this particular feeder for four years now, therefore I can speak through experience in doing this review.

Schrodt Etched Glass Decorative Hummingbird Feeder

The Schrodt line of hummingbird feeders has been a favorite of mine for a while.
Their feeders have an elegant presence about them and like all the “Decorative Hummingbird Feeders” will add beauty along with the flowers to your perennial garden.

They are all kiln-fired, colored glass that is "lustered" giving each feeder an iridescent sheen that changes in the light.

The base and top are made of recycled hand-lathed redwood and a
brass insert containing three feeding ports of ruby colored anodized flowers.

There are color choices of rich hues such as: Amethyst, Ruby Red, Chrystal, Gold and Sapphire.

There are also other Schrodt hummingbird feeders with various details available.

There are hand-etched designs such as:

The “Paradise” line with original hand-etched design revealing the enchantment of flying hummingbirds and enticing tiger lilies in an elegant pattern that encircles the entire bottle.

Their are "Theme" feeders such as this Southwest model which has a hand-etched southwest style pattern surrounding the glass.

The “Ruby” model has a hand-etched hummingbird hovering above a flower.

The “Amethyst” Etched model has a hand-etched hummingbird sipping from a trumpet flower.

Some have an “Applique Design” such as:

The “Floral” model has a Floral Applique with Gold Leaf Design.

Along with their beauty, the Schrodt line of hummingbird feeders are practical, easy to assemble/disassemble and easy to clean.

The bottle/reservoir is cleaned with a bottle brush.

The base is easily cleaned with a small feeder brush and a wash rag.

The feeding ports/flowers can be brushed with a feeding port brush available in a hummingbird feeder brush kit or you can simply use a pipe cleaner.

OVERVIEW: - Schrodt Etched Hummingbird Feeder Review

I love the elegant look that serves as a beautiful ornament in a flower garden and all the brilliant and subtle hues available to compliment a backyard.
The Schrodt hummingbird feeders are also practical and easy to clean.
The flower feeding ports are bee resistant and attractive.
As you can see by the photo below the hummingbirds are attracted to these feeders and will frequent them often.
I have seen hummingbirds hover while sipping nectar from this feeder and I have seen them rest and perch at the feeder.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird at Our Schrodt Feeder

Purchase the Schrodt Amethyst Feeder.

Both situations will present different photo opportunities. I have, as I said, used one for four years and never had a problem.

The elegance is still captivating and I have received so many compliments too numerous to mention!
