The Majestic Hummingbird

Cuts through the
Clear blue sky
First a tiny blur
Then the solid shape
Of a hummingbird

Stop and marvel
The glistening, shining
Feathers
Sunlight reflecting off
like a jewel

O, majestic hummingbird,
So peaceful, yet energetic
How are you so beautiful?

Fly away
Hummingbird
Like a jewel,
Forever
