Thinking About a Bird

by Nancy
(New York)

The day they hatch, they will be
The smallest bird you'll ever see
Why don't we think about them awhile?
Even though you may feel silly
Thinking about a bird

You can save a life, or two, or three
Just by doing something small
Because, in a while, they may be gone
That's something to think about

Your friends may think you're strange
Or, wasting your time
But who are they to judge?
Who knows?
Maybe hummingbirds feel strange
Thinking about you

Your poem really flows with vivid details and nice flow from stanza to stanza.
