The Almighty Hummer !!!

The Hummingbird can take credit, for capturing my heart, in the exciting new world of photography. I don't have to miss a second, of the grace and beauty.. of what I see. I can save those visual experiences.. forever. With "Photography".

They opened up a whole new world for me. One with nature.. serenity, inquisition, and bliss. And heart felt excitement I can replay, over and over again!
I have since been photographing, wildlife in my area.. and occasionally outside my area.
The Migratory birds.. have been a phenomenal thing to witness. Most people don't think to "Look up" when they hear a beautiful bird song, to see where it is coming from. If they did, they would be so enthused to witness.. that from which it came.
In my area alone, and this is from my property alone, I have captured photo's of over fifty different species of birds, some year round, but MOST migratory.. which is unbelievable. I've been called, the Blessed "pitstop", for our traveling feathered friends. And fortunate enough, to capture their visits.
The little Hummer though, is by far, the most exciting of them all. Their grace, friendliness.. their antics.. their habits, gifts.. and above all, their little souls, and the entertainment they can offer.
This is a picture of a Calliope Hummingbird. Taken with my Cannon EOS 50D. I have been able to capture them in play, in warfare, in courtship, their flight patterns, their personalities, their gentleness..their friendliness towards humans, and in their awesome aerobatics. They are truly, one of the most amazing "little birds" ever created.
