This list contains the sightings of the species of hummingbirds Mid-Atlantic region.

For convenience, they are listed in alphabetical order, not by frequency of sightings.

The Ruby-throated hummingbird is the predominate species east of the Mississippi River.

An ornithologist has not been involved in creating this list.

It is better suited for your personal use rather than scientific research of any kind.

Of course, we would welcome any input by ornithologists.

We would also enjoy any stories of hummingbird sightings.

The most predominate species in this region is the Ruby-throated hummingbird.

Occasionally there has been sightings of the Rufous Hummingbird.

In New York and Pennsylvania there has been sightings of the Calliope Hummingbird along with the Anna's and Allen's in Pennsylvania.
