Clay, I enjoyed reading your poem very much. I love the little hummingbirds and keep a feeder for them. There is always a mean little one that wants all the sugan water. Keep up your writing and I look forward to your next poem. Your cousin Marian

Clay,
I wonder that same question you asked in your poem. Does a hummingbird ever stop flapping its wings?

I Want to Be A Hummingbird by: Uncle Davy
Clay... Just after reading your great poem, I went out and sat on the deck. In just a moment, a hummingbird flew by and I immediately thought of you. Your poem makes me want to fly like a hummingbird! Wouldn't that me fantastic...to fly like a hummingbird? Keep writing... the more you read and write, the more you learn. I'm going to go make me some hummingbird wings with a lawn mower motor and blades and hook it to my back an fly over to your house and visit. Be looking for me... Love you... Uncle Davy
